AES: Language of Dissertation Writing

The course focuses on understanding the structures and language typically used in dissertations. It explores the organisation of the dissertation genre and the writing conventions connected to it, including how to integrate sources, frame research and discuss the research undertaken.


M.A and 3rd Year B.A students who are writing a dissertation or thesis.
This course will run 3 sessions. Please book for each individual session.

Session 1: Structure, discourse and language.
Session 2: Literature Reviews, referencing and other voices.
Session 3: Your voice:  Results, conclusions and discussions.
